Hi Gerry, Sam and Becky volunteered me to write this for them (I think it’s because they both set PB’s and club records!!!)

A few bleary eyed Harriers ran the Roadents reverse 10 the (early) morning after the awards night before. The main warm up involved yawning and trying to figure out why mile 1 had a number 9 on it. For those of you sensible people still in bed it was pretty cold and windy through the whole race but everyone ran pretty well in spite of this.

Steven Harriers led the Harriers home in 43rd (The first and last time that’ll ever happen I would think)

Samantha Mulligan came in 4th Lady and set a new club record of 69:23, she was tracked for most of the way by Becky Merriman who cut about 2 minutes off her PB to win the Vet lady 35 category and also set a new club record of 70:14.

Royston Toon, Andy George, Philip Scriven and Lorna Toon also ran well for the Harriers.

I have just been told about this 5km time trial that starts on Saturday 16th February and is repeated every week, a 9:00 start atthe big Tesco Extra in Cardiff. Simply register at www.parkrun.com then turn up and run. If you do go along then let us all know how it goes.
