Machen Mountain Magic

At least 10 Harriers among a surprisingly large field took part in this afternoon’s fell race from Machen village sports field to the top of the mountain and back.

A great time was had by all - well the descent was much more fun than the slog up.

A hot shower and tasty, generous buffet (and a Tshirt) all for £7.50 make this friendly race one of the best in the calendar.

And to cap it off, our Gill Stott won her age category trophy to the delight of husband and son and the rest of the Harriers.
