The Week Ahead - 9 November
Three sets of four up Hospital Hill with alternate short and long hills is one of Tuesday’s choices. The short hills enable you to increase your leg power and therefore your speed on the flat as well as hilly races. The longer hills also increase your speed/endurance and strength/endurance. Wow!
The other choice is 4 X 1200 metres on the Link Road. This is a speed endurance session that will help to improve your lactic threshold and your VO2max. Or in simple terms, plenty of this sort of work should bring down your PBs.
Then on Sunday, if you’ve entered the November Club Champs race, the Hellrunner, you should see the result of all the training you’ve been doing over the weeks. Have a good one with plenty of points.
